Theory of Education

The Department of Theory of Education intends to produce high quality, dedicated and innovative teachers who will service Zimbabwean lower and middle secondary schools effectively and efficiently.

The product will have firm grounding in Professional Foundations which include Psychology of Education, Sociology of Education and Philosophy of Education, which are important in the realisation of quality instruction.

Through these disciplines, the awareness of environmental issues will be inculcated into the student teachers.

This will be achieved through mass lectures, researched assignments, tutorials and seminars that will help the student teachers to synthesise and analyse issues critically.
